URBANDADDY: Los Angeles - Nightlife
March 16, 2012
But you, you’re thinking small. Low-key.
Oh, you might stop by a new, discreet little Downtown hideaway, but they only have 100 beer taps...
Take a look at Los Angeles Brewing Company, a massive two-level shrine to beer and beer again, opening tomorrow at noon.
It’s sort of like this place dropped from the sky to handle all your beer needs vis-à-vis March Madness and Irish holidays. They even have a dog valet—just drop your pup at the entrance, and the dog-sitter will maintain order on the dogs-only patio while you’re inside. Dog valet: such a better idea than bike valet.
With your mutt taken care of, you’ll head with your friends into the cavernous main room and commandeer a table anywhere—the marble tops were salvaged from the historic Bank of America building. (That’s where you are, FYI.)
Wherever you end up, you shouldn’t have a problem seeing the game on one of eight huge projection screens. And you shouldn’t have a problem getting a hot dog, a braised bourbon BBQ pulled-pork sandwich... and a beer. They’ve got everything from Eagle Rock Brewery’s Red Velvet to Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Porter coming from their 100 taps. And they’ve got about 30 more by the bottle.
You like to plan ahead for your 101st round.
