LOS ANGELES - Want to hit the town but reluctant to leave your dog home alone?
A new bar and restaurant in downtown L.A. has a novel solution: take your doggie to dinner with you... And they'll do the dog-sitting.
The Los Angeles Brewing Company, now in a 'soft' opening but gearing up for their grand opening on April 5th, offers a 'dog valet' service where you can park your pooch while you dine.
The service is free, but there is a requirement that your dog must be licensed by L.A. County. This ensures that any dog brought to the Brewing Company facility will have a proper rabies vaccination.
The area set aside for doggie care is separate from the drinking and dining area, so a spokesman for the Brewing Company says there were no health department issues in setting up the service.
The canine-only patio adjacent to the restaurant is open from noon till 10 p.m. daily.
